Union used a 9-0 run to start the fourth quarter on its way to scoring 24 over the final eight minutes for a 54-39 victory over Skyview in Tuesday’s 4A Greater St. Helens League girls basketball game.

The Titans (12-4, 3-1) led 30-27 after three quarters before using its defense to force five turnovers the first three minutes that aided its 9-0 scoring run on their way to taking their first double digit lead of the game at 39-27.

Mackenzie Lewis led all scorers with 16 points with 14 coming in the second half. Union led 18-16 at halftime. Toryi Midland added 12 for the Titans, who move into sole possession of second place in the 4A Greater St. Helens League.

Skyview guard Kazz Parks returned Tuesday after what coach Brett Johnson called a bone bruise suffered in last Friday’s loss at Camas. The junior did not start against Union, but came off the bench to score five points. Maddie Hendricks finished with 15 points for the Storm.

After a 13-1 start, Skyview’s dropped two straight and now trails league-leader Camas by two games at third place.
